Freedom of the field of vision:
The muzzle must not restrict the dog's field of vision. It should not be placed too high, in a way that blocks or bothers the eyes. (If the muzzle does not rest on the bridge of the nose and is therefore in the field of vision, it can be placed in the correct position with a strap under the throat).
Freedom of the nose:
The muzzle should not rest on or crush the nose. There must be enough space available. (If necessary, the nose strap can be modified).
Pressure on the cheeks:
The muzzle should not be so tight that it presses on the cheeks. Too tight a fit can cause pain and discomfort. (The muzzle can be bent here, but ATTENTION! Bent muzzles are excluded from return).
Freedom of the neck:
The neck support should not press on the throat or neck. This is especially important so as not to affect the dog's breathing and general well-being. (On some models we can remove the neck support).
Allow panting:
The muzzle should provide enough space for the dog to open its mouth and pant. This is especially important to ensure adequate cooling through panting, especially on hot days.
Secure fit:
The muzzle should fit snugly enough so that it does not slip or can be easily removed, but not so tight that it restricts or irritates the dog.
