For some dogs, it is advisable to shorten the muzzle as part of optimization. For some muzzles, the fastening squares of the nose padding can be removed for this purpose, so that they no longer interfere when a shorter padding is subsequently attached.
Removing the nose pad square
-
Removal of the nose pad fastening square
-
This shortens the muzzle if another pad is subsequently attached (e.g., Soft/Aqua nose pad, variants 2 and 4)
-
Includes subsequent sealing with clear varnish
For this modification to be carried out, the muzzle must meet the following characteristics:
-
it must be silver and cannot be rubberized (black) or coated in any other way
Notes:
Due to the high mechanical stress on these areas, we recommend powder-coating the muzzle afterwards. This increases its lifespan and effectively protects against rust in the worked areas. The durability of the clear varnish seal can be time-limited.
Due to the gap created, ears, fingers, etc. can more easily get inside the muzzle in an emergency. The owner is responsible for assessing this risk.
